In a society where everything needs to be fast and accessible quickly, Manibox makes us reflect on the act of accessing the internet and information. It forces us to acknowledge the the effort necessary to be connected by having the WiFi Access Point under a Faraday cage. The cage lifts when you crank the handle on the side, allowing access to the world.  after a limited amount of time, the cage goes down again, trapping the waves between its walls.

Technical aspect:
The structure is built in wood (gray MDF and pine). An arduino counts the number of revolution cranked using two sheets of copper pushed against each other. it then activates a motor which, in turn, activates a gear system. A nylon thread is tied to the axis of the secondary gear that when turning, lifts the front of the Faraday cage.
